I wasn't expecting the 8 hands piece to fail (or the concert would have no finale) but we somehow managed to stumble through it intact. I have a sneaking suspicion the Venetian Baracole piece will have to be dropped, since it's part of a mini-relay. The 2 musketeers aren't playing it (they absolutely refused...why???) and the 3rd piece didn't make it. *heaves sigh of relief* But the president's piece with her partner's a little shaky. Though it's a barber relay piece (which is the main feature of the concert), and will not be dropped, the president will probably have to change partners... Guess who has been elected?!

Oh well, but that's only in the worst-case scenario. After all, my 'beloved' Arts guy totally didn't practice, didn't show up for coaching and missed all the rehearsals... and he still performed. After racking my brains for almost a year, I finally asked Coach. Guessed what he said: Because I pitied you. I vaguely remember him warning Arts guy that he'd perform with me instead if Arts guy didn't show up for rehearsal. But that didn't go through in the end. Hm... looks like I shouldn't have showed up for coaching all alone, then maybe the year 2s would have dropped my piece. And I wouldn't have had to die of embarrassment turning up for coaching and rehearsal alone.. and playing solo. On the flip side, I wouldn't have played in the concert last year. One consolation: Coach said Arts guy won't be performing this year, no matter how good his piece was. *snicker*
~~~~~~
Enough of the piano crap. Today's the 2nd day of May, and I'm going to start my revision for block tests! Just to remind myself, here are some goals:
1) GP: At least A2
2) Physics: At least C
3) Econs: At least B
4) Maths: At least B (but I'm hoping to get A though)
5) Chemistry: Just pass the damned paper!!!
I hate Chem... taking Chem's probably the stupidest thing I ever did in my life. And yet I don't want to drop it and end up as a 3-subber. (I just have to imagine what my brother'd say to me for the rest of my life, something along the lines of : HAHAHAHAHA.)  Already suffered through the "A-Maths A2" and "Sciences B3" rant. And I HAVE to stop my CT telling my crap about "What are you doing in Science?" It's none of her business anyway. I hate idiots commenting about my grades. Yes, the word's HATE. Gotta go do some tutorials now. Luckily, they're fairly simple, so it shouldn't take me too long to learn those.
Just a little update here about my piano coaching schedule lately...
I have coaching for Scot Joplin-Rap Rhapsody on Thurs (8 hands), 4pm and some granger waltz (8hands) at 6pm. In between, of course, I have to go for MA (Music Awareness) I think... I can't really remember the schedule at the moment. Then on Fri I have coaching for Warsaw (4 hands) with KC!!! And bike piece with Dp! (4 hands) And next week I'll have all of the above + the 2 new pieces with Nat!!!
Oh well, I think I'm insane... considering I actually volunteered to play these 'cos I was bored. Sounded waaayyy too whiny... I must've been insane when I wrote it. Anyway, I (foolishly?) volunteered to judge the debate quarter's on Fri, and once again (AGAIN!) ended up in C-div. Oh well, I expected it anyway.
So we reported at the usual time, and were early for once. Ironically, they locked the briefing room. I guess they always expect us adjuds to be late :>. Well, I ended up with only 1 debate, so I went to watch my 'beloved' sec school. I won't badmouth them or anything (here anyway), but a: I didn't expect them to make it this far, and b: I STILL cannot understand how they made it. It was real disappointing when Adel didn't get best spker. If I was judging, I'd go by the 'She who saved the team shalt get best speaker' logic. But I can see why they gave it to the other speaker. *Sigh* According to my scores (Tan and I were judging it just for fun) , it was a clear win by a 4-5 mark margin. (It was closer for Tan though.) *Another sigh* I'm pretty sure the coach now hates us.
Blearh! Enough about that school. Something rather interesting happened. For the first time in this competition, I wasn't chief, YX  was. As a side-note, I've ended up being chief for all the Prelim rounds, and I really hated it. Hm... maybe not HATED, but I didn't really like it. I still feel that I lack exp, and that I'd rather learn from someone else. After all, I could be making the same mistakes throughout all the rounds. But it was an exciting, albeit stressful experience. So,  I was looking forward to seeing YX deliver the oral adjudication.
And...*drumroll* It was a split! And I dissent! For the first time! Against YX of all people! Some details first: Prop was Hg, Opp was Mf. And the motion was: security concerns being more impt than individual rights.
Prop
1) Pretty good case-setup: "We believe that both sc and ir can work in tandem with one another. However, when it comes to the clash, we believe that sc should take priority over ir."
2) Then a clarification: "We'd like to exclude all cases where there is no clash..." followed by a decent justification.
3) The headache: "include only 1st world countries... mature democracies." Justifcation: "People in the 3rd world have no rights."
4) Substantive: Govt signed a social contract, has to maintain social fabric. Basically went on to talk about both working in tandem, with no clear reason why one should take precedence. No relevant examples. (Come to think of it.. I don't think there were implicit reasons too)
5) Didn't know what the 2nd speaker was talking about. Still don't.
6) Decent 3rd, not brilliant though. Decent reply, some new rebuttals brought up.
Opp
1) Quibbled with 1st VS 3rd world issue. This went throughout the whole debate with no reason whatsoever. And both sides didn't give good justifications, and didn't use it in their cases, so it didn't influence verdict.
2) Baseline: Equal imptance.
3) 1st spker: Briefly mentioned similarity of cases. Decent case about dictatorship/terrorism. Basically ranted about consequences of sacrificing one for the other. Lacked links.
4) 2nd: ranted on (and on and on and on...) about Sri Lankan TT, Ireland ocnflict etc. I HATE SS E.G.S! Nothing else.
5) Great job as 3rd by pointing out that both sides were running // cases., other than 'damn.'
6) Reply org'd by sides, not issues.
Best spker unanimously to 2nd Prop. Even though her case was irrelevant, I blamed the whole team, not the speaker. And she did spot the main issues of the Opp, though she didn't manage
to rebut them.
The verdict? I gave it to Opp (.5 margin) , YX (.5 margin) and CT (5 margin?!?!) to Prop. The arguments: YX felt that Opp lacked rebuttals, and thus didn't fulfil duty. CT had no decent justification. (I have no idea what that guy was doing.) I felt that you couldn't really expect the Opp to do a good job rebutting, when both sides were running essentially the same case. And I blamed the Prop for it: they kept talking about 'when there's a clash...' but there was no mention of it in their case, and I felt they didn't prove the motion. So Prop ran a bad case, leaving the Opp with nothing. It was hence unreasonable to expect good rebuttals from Opp, since they'd be essentially contradicting their own case. And it was unfair of Prop to exclude it in clarification, then use it for their case. Prop also didn't have fantastic rebuttals. But... I can also understand why YX gave it to the Prop by a .5 mark margin. All in all, it was a really close debate. (Close sucky one, that is.)
In retrospect, I just felt pretty bad for Mf school...because I truly understand how they felt. In sec 3, I had a debate against some school with a 'plant hypothesis theory.' They had a disastrous and illogical case, but we lost as we didn't do a good job rebutting (we were Opp.) It was just so ludicrous and irrelevant that we simply couldn't find anything to rebut. Oh well....Tough luck for Mf. However, I watched both teams before in separate debates. On the whole, I believe that Hs is the more consistent and stronger team as compared to Mf. But during this round, Hs underperformed. So I'm now having what Adel would term 'a moral dilemma.' While Hs is stronger and deserves to advance in the competition (and would actually have a fighting chance against either Tkss or St.M), I believed Mf should have won that round. *Sigh again*
YX's oral adjudication had a few learning points, but I have no idea how to put them down here. It's basically the usual stuff about S St and C, but the way he said it was different. After the oa, during the team/judge 'private' time, after covering the usual about why one side was better than other and 1st/3rd world nonsense, I told them about the wrong reply format. And their teacher said: "But every judge in the previous rounds told us to do it that way!" What I wanted to say: "You're lying. I'd say that to you only I were insane and/or possessed. So it couldn't be every judge." And I had to resist the temptation to ask 'Which judge?' YX, who was hovering nearby waiting for his 'turn', came to the rescue by babbling something about how the teacher must've misunderstood (in a really nice way of course.) Looks like I need to learn tact from him too. It's true that some reply speakers do it in that format, but they're in A div! They're sophisticated! In C div, if I actually come across a speaker that makes sense, is relevant, and does a good summary, I'd be ecstatic! It's the 'learn to crawl before you walk' theory. I promised MG not to undermine the other judges, but SOME judges have... misguided? (that's the nicest word I can think of) opinions.
This marks the end of my debating/judging careeer for this year. (I'll probably not volunteer for the semis.) I'll miss it, but I am getting a little sick of it all the same. So this will give me a nice long break to decide whether to judge next year.
Upcoming events:
1) Piano competition in June
2) Concert in July
3) Some VS concert (haven't seen the piece yet *gasp*. Also have no idea when is it.)
BIG mistake.. really BIG
*Sigh* Oh well, I had double GP today. *Yawn* Anyway, my GP tutor, who's also my CT tutor, started passing out VSs. (when other teachers gave them out before the SPA break.) Anyway, she started discussing S-paper droppings (droppings? Geddit?) and arguing with the SP-kiddies. Naturally, I got utterly bored and took out my trusty comic to read. Guess what? I got caught. And then she started scolding this guy in front of me (hereby known as KX) for lending it to me. And then started going on about irrelevant stuff about him not handing in HW on time. Who hands in HW on time in JC?!?! And THEN threatened to call his parents. After GP, she talked to him for a few minutes while I TRIED to hover unobstrusively (and failed) somewhere nearby. She turned to me later then started talking about how I shouldn't read comics and should 'start reading to improve my GP to an A1 grade.' (Well, she had caught me PASSING comics to KX and vice-v before, but never READING them.)
I Did No Wrong! Here's Why...
1) She wasn't teaching or otherwise doing anything impt while I was reading.
2) She has no right to dictate what I do in my leisure time.
3) My classmates read DUMB things like STUPID fashion magazines and IDIOTIC Sixteen and she sees them doing it in the canteen without saying a thing.
4) DAMNIT! I'm the best GP student she has. And I work like hell for the grade too! She has absolutely no right to accuse me of not doing anything to improve my GP! And I'm already scoring A2 on average when the rest of my class is scoring a pass!!! I'd rather spend any spare time working on my Chem (which is barely passing) anyway! What does she do during 'precious' GP periods anyway? Nothing but read passages aloud. The exam doesn't have oral! And she says I'm wasting my time. In comparison to what 'ordinary' teenage girls my age are reading, anything else is an improvement! And get this: My GP grades HAVE NOT been falling. In fact, they're rising... slowly, but they are!!! This goes to show that either she's blind, or like totally idiotic, or she's just... an idiot. (Though this is a personal thing, I better keep my thoughts PG-13.)
Now I feel really bad. I got this innocent guy into trouble, and am currently holding the phone trying to decide what to say to him. And this was after I begged him to bring the comic for me. It's all my fault (*sigh*). I really like this place. It lets me swear silently and vent my anger, and helps me to think. My *** place is so noisy I can barely concentrate, and they wonder why they never see me doing HW. I rather mug in the piano room, though it doesn't even have a table.
I'm weird, aren't I? And if I screw this phonecall up, I'm going to lose one of the few close friends I made in VJ. Lemme see now...
a) Ask for KX
b) Tell him I begged the teacher not to blame him, and it was all my fault
c) Apologise manymanymany times
d) Apologise some more
e) Tell him the lame excuse I told my teacher: The crap about the CL speech competition so our stories match.
f) Do you think he'll cut me off by then? Or mebbe I'll just apologise somemore. And more. And... crap!
*Takes a deep breath* And the dumb guy doesn't even have a HP! So I actually have to call him! And I took so long typing this that my mom's on the phone with my cousin (Again.) Crap. Just thought of something else. Now my testimonial's going to have something like "she doesn't make any effort to improve herself..." Just great. A 'great' end to a 'great' day. My day sucked. Ok, don't get side-tracked....How about:
"May I speak to KX? ... Hi, it's me. Ya. Hey, I'm really sorry about this afternoon. I told Mrs Koh it was my fault...And I fed her some crap story about needing it for research material for the Chinese speech competitoin. Ya, the one I was telling you about. Anyway, she didn't really see me reading the comic, she just saw something with Chinese words on it. (Here's where I improvise depending on what he says.) Hey, really sorry, don't get angry k?"
Don't think so in this case. Crap. All we need now is for the airheads in my class to see us together and start gossiping AGAIN. Idiots. Hm.. my mom's now off the phone. Here goes...
Just realised that I'm going to sound totally pathetic. Crap.
Something interesting...
I know this is really weird, but I came across this and just HAD to put it down somewhere...
My Daily Online Prayer!
My Daily Prayer(Online.......)
Oh God
help me logon without fretting
guide me as i am internetting
bless me downloading and uploading
keep my browser from exploding
may my website be protected
let not my password be rejected
keep my line always connected
let all my inputs be accepted
please keep all my programs alive
and remember to bak up my hard drive
and to protect my hard drive from a crashing hive
from my virus that would make it a nesting hive
Oh well, I've been pretty busy lately. Need to mug! Just a little info: I cut my hair just to meet the President! P.Nathan's really quite nice... not like dear Shanmu. He was frank, and did not give 'model' answers. One example: Someone asked him how his experience in VS had shaped him to be who he is today. Hs answer: I hated VS. So cool! There was a good reason for it: He was poor and the teachers discriminated against him and all that. But it was still a nice experience receiving an honest answer from a polotician (for a change.)
Some juicy gossip about our President...
1) He was stranded on Kuwait once, after he was freed from 'hostage duty.'
2) He was inspired to join politics after seeing someone from the Japanese Red Army speak.
3) He worked as an office boy when he first entered politics.
4) He didn't know what to do with his life, so he worked as basically everything. That should comfort those (like me) who have no idea what to do with their lives.
5) He was thrown into Foreign Affairs without any idea what he would do there.
6) He's supposedly only 1 yr younger than MMLee.
7) He dressed ultra-casually.
8) I'm not sure if this is true, but some people have seen his name in the VS year book with the word 'expelled' beside it.
How he was elected:
The story goes like this: (as told by PNathan himself, including his thoughts)
MML called PN at home.
MML: So, how are your kids? They doing ok?
PN: *This guy only calls for 2 reasons. A: you screwed up really badly. B: You did a fanstastic job. I did neither. Hm...* (makes meaningless small-talk)
After some inane conversation...
MML: So... are you free tomorrow? Can you come down to meet me?
PN: *Can you imagine me saying, no I'm not free to the SM? Like, duh* Yup, I'm free.
The next day...
More meaningless small talk...
Out of the blue:
MML: Would you like to be President?
PN:I'm 75!
MML: I'm 76! Any other objections?
PN: Sir, I'm honoured, but...
MML: Don't worry, I'll campaign for you if necessary. (WOW... and we call this a democracy)
At the election:
Candidate 1: (not prepared, dressed in slippers, inelligible for Presidency, makes a short speech,                         leaves)
Candidate 2: (sees Nathan). Oh! I didn't know you were running! (makes a hasty exit)
And that's the story of how he became our President.
Hm... The competition wasn't bad. Yup, it wasn't bad at all. As over 90% of the people there were PRCs, there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever... No one seriously expected a local to get into the finals. And I was number 69 (the 2nd last number), so I had the opportunity of seeing all the other locals screw up really badly. It was mean, and evil of me, but it definitely gave me a huge ego booster. And some PRCs screwed up too! Just goes to show that they can't be good in everything :>
Anyway, my topic was 'ren', as in ren qi tun shen. And I rediscovered exactly why I used to like speaking in Chinese in front of manymanymany people. Practically everyone there thought I was from China (so insulting), and was an IP kid (even more insulting) but I had tons of fun. If there's another competition, I might even CONSIDER taking part. Hm... looks like I don't hate Chinese after all.
Some minor incidents:
1) Just to irritate all the PRCs there, Aud and I wandered around the place, speaking reaaaally loudly in perfect English! And they got really irritated... some people were muttering about how they couldn't think anymore!
2) And brought this 1000-odd page ENGLISH Lit book (on loan from VJ library) to read, and pass time (around 4 insanely booring hours).
3) And then after the competition ended, Aud and I, again speaking in English, went to collect the receipts from this woman (who could only speak Chinese!)
Conclusion? We are bilingual Singaporeans, and hence better than anyone else there! *evil laugh* Nah, just kidding. The correct one should be: I miss Chinese (just imagine Wang XP shuddering/snickering)  at the thought... and maybe WE ARE EVIL!
I AM DEAD! I don't know what possessed me to take part in some dumb CL competition... and THEN I found out that it's this Saturday! And I did this with a 7 essay backlog, 1 econs essay and Maths on Thurs... One word: Insanity! I'm gonna lose my whole Gd Fri holiday... AND I'll probably go there and screw up. There was some course about speech making and it was YESTERDAY. Great. Just Great. So me and Aud are like just going to go there early and all, and check out the speech format. We are so SCREWED... I must be possessed or something... Oh well, looks like I have to log off now, to attempt to do some tutorials...(I have 6 periods free on Wednesday but I insanely signed myself up to help with CCA walkabout...) need to mug for Maths too!
I decided to leave all posts untitled. 3 words: Couldn't be bothered. Well, just a little update on what's been going on lately: I left this blog alone 'cos I was building my own webbie... Oh well, now that I'm terribly frustrated and put off by bandwidth limitation and other techno stuff, plus a whole chunk of Java problems, not to mention a horrible lack of time, I hereby announce that I'm giving up on it for a while, till the 'A's are over! Oh well, by then I'll definitely have more than 1 anime shrine to my name, other than the usual FoR Tokiya one. I foresee a FMA one in the future...
Enough blabbing for now. Nothing much to add really, other than the fact that my GP teacher banned me from reading CL comics after I accidentally wrote this Chinese-translated phrase into my essay! It was a total accident!!! And I was extremely tiredwhen I did it!!! *sigh* Anyway, I'll probably stop it for a while on my own, since I DO have to prep for my GP...(moans at the thought of reading a million copies of Kaleidoscope)
My life's pretty boring at the moment, not much entertainment, nothing much to do except mug here and there.  Haha.. that 'sounded' funny... I must be going insane out of boredom as usual. Can't wait for FMA movie to come out in Sept... or maybe not. Can't they wait till after the 'A's or during June or something?! *curses*
Oh well, confession time! I'm currently trying to fight off a computer addiction. Can't seem to tear my eyes off it, and time spent on it could be better used elsewhere. Everyone says that admitting it is half the solution, so I'll just keep working on the other half! (:> This conveniently also gives me a good excuse should I fail to faithfully update, doesn't it?)
Bye for now!
4th post
Blog spot hated me yesterday...Well, as promised...
1) I finally finished DNAngel! Hm... I can't wait for more though... it remains different from the comic, but not totally different. After all, each time I think it is, there'll be some scenes from the comic. Its indeed nice blend, as compared to HikaruNoGo, which has the anime directly from the comic, or Gundam Seed, which condensed 4 episodes in 1 comic... Yuck! It doesn't mean that I like them better or worse though. This gives me an idea: I'll put up a ranking thingy!... if I learn how to do it that is.
2) Piano stuff...Nothing much to say at the moment. I missed having a coaching today (dumb OP!) and will be missing another tomorrow. On the other hand, I HAVE to go for this free piano concert, which I don't really want to go... Life ain't fair. not much progress with my playing either, I'm just waiting for Friday where I'll be practicing with N again :P
3) Hm...I guess there isn't much need for me to talk about the car wash either... just go read jess's blog for an account of what happened to me... I was WET! But we made quite a lot of money anyway!
4) No side-effects from the malaria pill at the moment, other than this intense need to kill someone...And beach road was interesting. I didn't know that Malay businesswomen (not men) were so much better than any Chinese! The Chinese there were all really proud and unbargainable.... Grrr! But I'm not in the mood for philosophical stuff at the moment, so I'll just say that I'm rather... disappointed by the Chinese there, and leave it.
5) Tan's on the warpath again. I keep postponing outings, trips, etc. Miss Sherry too... Been trying to go somewhere together for the past MONTH or so. I could be doing it subconsciously I guess, I don't really like going out, but I'll go if someone begs me. After all, its so nice to be needed! But seriously, I'd rather stay home and read... or maybe play computer games on W's laptop. But people keep wanting me to go out. But I don't want to disappoint anyone. But I have no $$$. And that's too many Buts in one sentence....
6) OP was in the morning. It was sort of anti-climatic I guess, the presentation itself didn't 'feel' like one. Just me up there delivering my speech, then being asked some dumb questions. Oh well, I guess I've gotten past the point of anything really, I don't even feel a sense of relief or anything. Or that could be due to the amount of Notes of meetings I have to fake. Just a note: I think me and S had the hardest questions of all! And the teacher was one of my Piano E's! I bet he did it on purpose. He asked me something like: do you feel that handphones create more opportunity for commuication and to what extent do you think handphones will replace face-to-face interaction in the future? That' 2 questions! And he went on to ask me and S more! Oh well... he was probably impressed by my group leader W, who delivered a mini-speech. Personally, I feel that his answer just repeated everything from his speech wholesale, but now everyone's treating him like a god or something. One nice thing to note: ST told us that our group looked really prepared!
Well, this is it. The end has finally dawned. It was... well... an eye-opener. It taught me how to lie, cheat, deceive, and act. And it taught me to conceal everything and deal with it myself. After all, I risked lowering the Colloboration mark. I am sick and tired of doing the job of 5 people. I am sick and tired of faking notes, of taking over as group leader, of writing speeches for people, of being a counsellor-figure to help when someone doesn't understand, of patiently repeating the same thing over and over again so someone will get it, of suppressing everything I want to prevent from hurting anyone, of being the main person who keeps the project afloat, of being the only one who faces reality, of hiding the sheer work I have to do because of this crazy interest in W, and of being optimistic all the time. I'm nuts. Song from: Sweet Dreams:
It's over.
That's all I have to say
Pick up the pieces
And start a new day.
And again starts the cycle of being what everyone wants me to be, of being obliging and nice and everything. Someday I'll just go mad, chuck my stuff out of the window. But I'll just go turn on the TV, watch somemore anime, and I'll be the happy lolly again. Its kindof weird how I tried to avoid deep stuff, and I still end up discussing it anyway. I was tempted to delete this, but I guess this is what a blog is for.
3rd post
Too exhausted to say anything at the moment. Saves me the trouble of thinking about it! Also, I like the 1) 2) 3) layout, but I'm not an organised freak! (as anyone who knows me will tell you) And I don't know how to get a tagboard, so I'm not going to get one.
Stuff...
1) Well, since everyone seems to feel the need to rant about promos in blogs, I'll just add my 2 cents worth: I'm utterly disappointed by my results, especially since I put in a lot of hard work... (way more than I did for 'O's even, started earlier too). Personally, I have no idea why it turned out this way, but I'm going to work even harder! Oh well, I'll put it here as my personal motto: I must work longer! I must work harder! (cookies to anyone who can tell me where this comes from :P)
2) Had another coaching session today. It was really hectic, but I like it (on hindsight.)  I had the Flowers piece with Nat in the morning at about 10. It was GOOD. I'm really proud of myself for practicing my arpeggios and broken chords *cocky grin*. *pokes head with pin... deflates* Well, I STILL was critised for my hedidemisemiquaver/semiquaver passage though. It took me a little while to explain to Coach that I had no metronome to practice with... he looked like a goldfish.  o_o Then I had to promise borrow/beg/steal one. But overall, it wasn't bad. He said I was OK! I'll probably be looking more into Tchaikovsky's works in the future...but that's a BIG maybe...
3) Then came the 8-hands piece at about 11. It made me panic for a while... my partner had to run home to get something for a GPF, and the secondo on the other piano was having OP. But she came back soon (to VP's relief :>) but Nat didn't :<. Luckily, the coach didn't make us play at crotchet 84, which is what we were supposed to practice with, I'd have rushed like crazy. We played at about 100 (I think). I had no problem with that piece but I still have to practice! (note to self: solo part needs work!) I had the doubtful priviledge of playing with Coach today, but it was certainly an eye-opener in many ways. I was both impressed with his tone and shape, but it was also nice to know he wasn't perfect. However, it will STILL take me a couple of years to get to where he is...*sigh*
4) I woke up at 8 today for absolutely no reason whatsoever, insomnia has struck once again. So, I went to watch...*drumroll* DNAngel. It certainly gave me a nice surprise. It was totally different from the comics (I should know, I went to check.) The sound was excellent. I can't comment on the plot yet as I've only seen 4 episodes,  but it's good so far. The producer has a sadistic streak or something,  Dai-chan was crying in the 2nd episode, he got bashed by Risa and knocked unconscious in episode 3, and almost froze to death in a room -27 degrees in ep. 4 (is that even possible?!)  I can't wait for more sadistic episodes... I'm a person who likes the hero/ine/s to be 'tortured' in some way or another. :> Hiwatari-kun also disapeared very quickly as compared to the comic, and Crad came out too early in my opinion. Hopefully, the producers planned to make the anime fast-moving. On the other hand, they could have fired the graphic designer for Hiwatari... he looks really weird for some reason. The voices for characters so far are so-so, they suit the character quite well. Oh well, my opinion will probably change after a couple of episodes and my critique-y side kicks in.
5) Hm... that brings me on to another issue. I'm going to need to name my muse, my conscience, and my critic soon. I'm thinking of naming one Tokiya, but his personality wouldn't quite fit what I have in mind. I'll just leave it here for me to brainstorm then.
6)  Nothing has been going on with PW lately. The script has been written/memorised, there's nothing much to do now except rehearse and help the others if possible. At this point, I can't wait for it to be over!
7) Just a minor issue: my frog won 3rd today! I'll be entered in the superfrog competition... here's wishing froggy good luck! (my frog's named foggy, my virtual dog's named doggy, cat's kitty... you get the picture.)
8) *Sigh* Have to organise a concert outing next Wednesday to watch a free piano thingy... I don't even want to go myself. And a BBQ for piano... I HATE BBQS!!!
9) Jeez... I have Gundam Seed 4 sitting in my cupboard but I have to wait for DiDi to finish her exams first before I can watch it in the open *sigh*
Stuff for tomorrow...
1) Have to find a way to get to Buona Vista MRT for adjudication training. I'm a lot like Haru, I can never find my way around... *sigh* I hope it'll be interesting.
2) Best of luck to all who're taking Chinese tomorrow! Everytime I think of CL, I'm really glad I didn't drop HCL in sec sch despite being bottom/2nd bottom! Freedom!
3) Shelving on 23rd Dec 9-5. Don't forget!
Shameless plug...
Come and watch VJ-NUS piano concert on 13th Dec. It'll be in the afternoon, at either NUS or VJ PT.
First post!
I finally decided to acknowledge my less-than-exceptional techno skills. *Sigh* Yet the perfectionist in me (well, if there's one in the 1st place) DEMANDS that I do a perrrfect homepage. In order to resolve the 'conflict', I decided to shelve the homepage idea for a while till I acquire the necessary skills. Hence, the blog! I need my own little place to crap too!
Stuff...
1) Woke up with a slight flu today. Got better in the afternoon though. I blame my dog, and my nose.
2) Decided to go on vacation for Utopia *sob* Without a computer, (can't keep relying on WX's laptop, can I?)  my province is suffering. It dropped from 2000+ acres to barely 1000. But I'm going to miss it. After all, I haven't gone on vacation there for a long while... even during promos and 'O's.
2) Practicing like crazy for 8-hands piece, Entertainer. It's for the X'mas concert which is going to be held on...???? I forgot. *cringes* It's really nice especially with everyone together. We FINALLY completed the piece today. Pity those who were in the office though...
The piano thing did put me in a bad mood for while. My partner just couldn't get a bar right. I played it over and over and over and over....for about 8 times. Sooo irritating.... That's probably the only drawback an 8-hands piece has. Can't kill her for it too, she's the MD after all. Her playing's actually pretty decent. AND she's my partner for another piece too. I sortof volunteered for it so that I could get out of playing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' *shudders*.
Then I took 1 look at the score and wanted to die... or at least faint. "Waltz of the Flowers?!?!" Sounded and looked like a typical classical song! Anyone who knows me at all knows that I HATE classical. I didn't even bother to practice the piece. *begs for forgiveness*
Hm... But after I played it today, I was on a 'high' for a few hours or so. The song was not bad (one of my highest compliments for a classical piece ever) and the ending was FANTASTIC! I'm in love with it and I hereby solemnly swear to practice it at least as much as I practice the entertainer!!!
(On a side-note, this doesn't mean that I'm now a classical fan... Doesn't go well with my personality generally. And the mumbo - this loud fast piece- still sounds great! I'm going to scheme to get the score somehow! Maybe I'll go down on my knees and beg the VP......)
3) i just remembered something else. I got plagurised (spelling??) !!! I'm never going to post another fic on ff.net again! And someone else stole the plot of my epic! The one that took me 4 plus years to write.. Feel so discouraged, I'll probably stop writing it... maybe. Nah...
4) I actually wanted to crap about PW, but now I'm just depressed. Jeez... Simply 'can't wait' to take the malaria pills and get more psycho due to it's side-effects. I'll crap about it tomorow after rehearsal. I just realised my OP's in a week!
Preview of tomorrow's stuff / Reminder to self *curses bad memory*
1) OP Rehearsal... sian...
2) Piano! More and more piano! Note to self: Master the flowers song!
3) I'm going to watch Gundan Seed in the morning! Must wake up! *runs off to set clock just in case*
4) Gonna find a way to get Yugi-oh  after the Noah-arc! They had the audacity to strip it off Channel i. *sob* My Sat morning entertainment's going down the drain...
5) Oh ya, need to return library book and bring scales book.
Another note: I'll probably leave this site as it is, can't be bothered. I'll get a homepage-cum-anime shrine up and running soon! That one I'll spend time decorating.
